History has provided us with some fine examples of pure and powerful manliness, here are just a few... (in no specific order)
Paul Bunyan, now I understand he wasn't actually real, but when I asked around he was the man at to top of everyone's list. This famous figure in American folklore is knows as the epitome of manliness. With his unmatched work ethic to his unstoppable resolve to move past any obstacle, he was without a doubt a true man's man. Plus he had a righteous beard and a giant blue ox.
Davy Crockett, was a larger than life frontiersmen, politician, and soldier. Saying of himself,
"I'm that same David Crockett, fresh from the backwoods, half-horse, half-alligator, a little touched with the snapping turtle; can wade the Mississippi, leap the Ohio, ride upon a streak of lightning, and slip without a scratch down a honey locust." though he could have used a little more humility, he was defiantly one manly man.
Chuck Norris, Not much needs to be said about the mighty Chuck Norris, no list of manliness would be complete without him.
Bruce Lee, Martial arts legend and movie star. Bruce Lee was known for his epic training and fighting skills. He gave new life to the once dying art of fighting and inspired a new generation of martial artists.
Teddy Roosevelt, without a doubt on the most (if not the most) manly politician in American history. Not letting his bad health as a child get in his was, he was a great lover of the outdoors and had a passion for hunting. He formed the Rough Riders during the Spanish American war and later became President. He is famed for his line "Walk softly and carry a big stick", which described his style of leadership; don't butt in to anyone business but always be fully prepared and capable to smack down anyone who rises against you.
William Wallace, kind of a brutal guy, but his passion for the freedom of his people was what got him a spot as a manly man. When England took over Scotland, William Wallace led a revolt and fought valiantly and brutally for years. He eventually was captured and hung, known as a great martyr for his people William Wallace is known as Scotland's greatest hero to this day.
Jesus The Christ, now Jesus is not generally thought as an epically manly man, but if you look close you will see it. He was born and almost immediately pursued to be killed. After years living in Egypt returns to his home town. Becomes a professional carpenter (one to the top 5 manliest professions of all time). Gets Baptized by a mountain man in the desert (John the Baptist). Then just a few years later allows himself to be beaten, tortured, and killed just to save the people who hated him... And if that wasn't enough, he was too great to stay dead, so he even did the impossible and came back to life 3 days later. Epitome of manly, I must say yes.
Epic Manliness is a place where men come to enjoy heroic tales from other manly men and it is where women come to laugh at exaggerated stories from wanna be macho men.

Epic man tip #1
Epic men build things, with their hands..... And no, they don't use instructions! (unless what you are building something from Ikea, in which case instructions are the most valuable thing in that darn box)

Manly men: They are out there
Have you ever been at work or hanging out with your friends when you approach a fellow man and extend your hand for a manly hand shake? You come in, steady and firm, outreached and prepared to unite in a powerful display of fellowship and greeting. Alas, you look him in the eye and grip his outstretched had, only to find you just grabbed a dead fish, the lifeless grip of a wimpy man. As you release his hand you shake your head and ask yourself, "is there a real man left in this world, a man who at the very least knows how to shake a hand?"
Well I am here to tell you that there are real men left in this world, and this blog dedicated to them and their stories. Here you will find tips, inspiration, and entertainment. So please read, enjoy, comment, and share.
